Tyler and Katie's thoughts on planning a wedding
A friend said a beautiful thing to me the other day as we were discussing decorations:
When Tyler and I started planning out what we wanted our wedding to be, we both felt pretty strongly about wanting it to be a community affair. We knew we wanted to work with local vendors we had personal relationships with, as well as surround ourselves with people who have been an integral part of our growth as a couple. It was important people felt connected, as opposed to just being another big party."Your wedding has introduced me to so many new people and brought me closer to others. I'm really excited!"
So this small comment really made me happy. I'm glad being a part of our wedding is helping people make new friends and strengthen other relationships. I'm moved so many want to contribute more than a gift, but by helping plan, decorate or donate a talent to the wedding.
Tyler and I have worked very hard to give back to our community and it is overwhelming for me to see that same community giving back so generously to us.
